- I got a LOT of flack for this activity. I believe someone actually called my wedding a "carnival" when I first started on these boards and was asking if anyone had done this, which I laughed off, (for the new ladies, the ability to laugh off insults is ESSENTIAL for survival on these boards) and it did create an on-going joke amongst my friends and family. BUT, I would do this all over again. The guests LOVED it and I truly have the best scrapbook now. Well worth the money. I also really liked the owners, Sean and Scott, who did a great job with no complaints (i.e. they delivered it over grass).

Every person we dealt with was super helpful and the breakfast staff sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne and orange juice to my room the morning we were getting ready for mimosas.

- A+: I had seen a wedding done with a martini luge and knew I wanted something like that as well. I absolutely loathe ice sculptures so I was a little hesitant about this, but the luge was a hit at the reception. It was a 2 block fully functional martini luge which stood about 4 feet high backed with lighting. I unfortunately never got a chance to get a drink from it, but those that did said it was awesome. Besides how awesome the luge looked, this vendor was one of the cheapest I found and did not charge me any travel fees, especially coming from Boston Mass.

- I don't remember where I found Michele but she works in NY and I shipped my envelopes to her. Her calligrapher was beautiful and she used a color ink and didn't charge us extra for it. I think she was only $1 per envelope and she had them done quickly (though it was only about 45 invites). We also had her do our placecards and she did a great job on those too ($0.25 per), there was two couples whose tables were swapped that I noticed after I got them but Michele had held some blank cards and made the corrections and FedEx'd them to us right away. I highly recommend her, calligraphy wasn't necessary but I think it really made the envelopes look extra special and for $1 a piece it is totally worth it.

- This was really easy. I created an excel spreadsheet, emailed it to some husband & wife team in St. Louis. Within a day, they sent me a proof. They had the font I wanted. On the reverse of the placecards, they printed "Emily & Mike/Decemeber 30th, 2007." The placecards are pretty simple, but then I backed them on silver cardstock & wet-embossed them with snowflakes.

- A: It is what you expect for a thrifty veil option. I paid $80 with shipping for my chapel length ribbon edged veil. It wasn't quite the $350 one I fell in love with when dress shopping but it was very pretty, inexpensive and super quick and easy to get. They also offer 7 days to return your veil if you don't like it and will send you free swatches which is nice because it is kind of hard to tell online.
